“Not Your Momma’s Wicker!”

That’s what he says about his outdoor furniture. That’s his tag line. And that’s a point of view I agree with.

A friend recently sent me an email update. She was at a party, and a young man was there who was an outdoor furniture designer. He had brought several pieces along with him for the crowd to enjoy. She loved them so much that she sent the catalog to me since she knows I love messing with traditional furnishings to make them fresh. Here is one of the images she sent:

Isn’t it great? Very fresh and fun.

Here’s another one, called “the temple”:

Beautiful! And it has a teak floor and a retractable roof as well.

All the items are made out of aluminum frames with PVC straps so they are completely weather proof and durable in both sun and shade. If you have a lot of space and want cushy comfort, you can have the “Cube” modular collection:

And all the pieces come in neutral colors, and of course, the New Neutrals of neon orange and citric green.

All these wonderful things are designed by Jason Champion. Jason was born in sunny Phoenix, Arizona, and raised in the South. With all that warm weather, he grew up to love living outdoors. He was inspired to bring his vision of fashion to outdoor furnishings, so he started his own company, Jason Champion Outdoor.

And for your dining pleasure, there is the Dining Cube group. Imagine a mix of chocolate colored chairs with a white table:

With so much fun furniture to choose from these days, it is important that we support artists who keep stretching their art forms and give a new twist to our vision of ALL that furnishings can be. Thanks, Jason!
